Hopping Freights — part 2

Another photo from August 1972 - after walking for what seemed like "a really long time" we took shelter in this small shed to get out of the rain. After a cramped sleep we woke up the next morning, gave up on the idea of hopping a train, and hitched down to the Bay Area. At some point along Highway 101 we saw a southbound train working at a siding, but, warm and dry and not having to walk anywhere for the next hour or so, we stuck with our ride.
